In this era of advanced technology the demand of hybrid cars is increasing. The hybrid means anything with mixed origin and a product of two varying kinds. There are two types of engines in these cars, solar engines and electric engines. There are many reasons why people prefer these vehicles than gasoline engines. These are safe for the environment and less cost. Since the first man came in to the earth, he is always trying to do something new and innovative. Each year many automobile companies are spending thousands of dollars on research and development of less fuel consumption cars.
Automobile companies are earning huge moneys from the hybrid cars, and in 2011 thirty new models of these cars are taking part on the roads. Inflation is increasing day by day and it is hard to find the inexpensive model of cars. These cars are reliable and durable, and these cars consume 50-60% less fuel than the convertible car. The prices of these cars are high in these days but I am sure that when people know the advantages of these vehicles or interested in these cars the prices would be automatically decrease with the more competition in the industry.
Types of Hybrid Cars:
In current market there are two types of the hybrid cars as to their engines
- Gasoline engine
- Electric engine
Gasoline engine is used during starting and stopping the cars. Once the car is travelling at certain speed the electric engine is automatically take over the gasoline engine. Another advantage of the gasoline engine is that it is used to charge the battery of the vehicles. Gasoline and electric engines are used tandem with each other but never together. The use in manufactured these cars are light weight it is because these can travel smoothly. The tires of these cars are more compromising than the convertible cars and these can helpful to increase the fuel efficiency. Due to these cars you can save your time instead waste time on patrol pump. These are much expensive than convertible cars this is only demerit of these cars.
In 1900 Ferdinand Porsche designs the first hybrid car. These cars were not famous between the people that time, but now these become popular with the advanced technology. Like convertible cars these cars also have engine, fuel tank, batteries and transmission. The main difference between them is that the engine of these cars is smaller and it has an electric motor is function with the gasoline engine. Due to shortage of oil mines and increasing the demand of fuel, some people are worried that oil would finish one day. So some people are busy to manufacturing their own hybrid cars.
Advantages of hybrid cars:
- These cars are helpful to save the money, which people spend on the patrol or CNG.
- These are safe for the ozone layer.
- Helpful to reduce the pollution and also helpful to reduce the emission the carbon dioxide.
- Hybrid cars also have quality of self charging just needing to be plugged into the outlet.
